Q. How much will the pub cost? A. The cost is dependent upon the size of the space and whether or not it is an existing restaurant or is empty space. Normally the total cost is $450,000. This includes all costs. Q. How much money do I need? A. You will need $200,000 cash and the ability to borrow the balance of the funds. Q. What do I receive for my money? A. You receive total project support on all aspects. Pub concepts will assist in location selection, lease negotiation, financing, design, construction, pub operations, training, purchasing and ongoing support to the business enterprise. Q. What is the size of the pubs? A. 2500 to 5500 square feet is the range of the existing pubs,with 3700 square feet being the optimum size. Q. What is the royalty? A. There is no royalty. As part of the marketing group you receive savings on most of your purchases through pre-arranged deals. Pub concepts keeps a portion of the cost saving to support the group. The group currently has 45 members in Ontario alone. Q. What is the Pub Concepts marketing group? A. Spearheaded by Pub Concepts, the group is an alliance of pubs that have partnered together to increase buying power in the market and share ideas. The average pub receives about $62,000 in annual benefit from Membership. Q. What experience do I need? A. In order for
the endeavour to be successful, experience in restaurants or small business
is preferred. If the proper background is not in place, we will assist
in hiring the right people or in giving effective training to the management.
